Solid Core Doors

Solid Core doors are built for longevity as the interior structure is sound against the rigours of time and traffic. Each core material offers its own advanatages but all share the commonality of structural strength engineered to mitigate bowing and warping.

Keep sound out from private spaces as well as keeping the heat / cold outside require solid separators inbetween which is where a solid core doors perform. Its solidity it is also of great benefit for security in applications where risk of instrusion is a consideration.

Additionally, when fitting front-of-door hardware like vision panels and ventilation grilles , a section of the door's core and skins must be cut to make room for the hardware (see image). Unlike Semi-Solid doors, this is possible with a solid core as its solidity means that the core acts as a substrate for the hardware to rest upon and be physically supported after it is fitted.
